Glowing Pod Moves Dolls and Their Pets

The MGA Entertainment Energy Pod holds one Novi Stars doll and her pet. Topped with a pink plastic bow, this pod has a clear front and a pearlescent pink background. Attach the doll and pet to the clear arms, close the pod, and turn it on in a dark room, and your Novi Stars doll will be surrounded by color-changing lights as she appears to float.

Transparent Nita Light Doll Glows in the Dark

Purple-haired Nita Light is only available as part of the Energy Pod set. Her arms are translucent, her body is transparent, and her face glows in the dark after being exposed to a lamp or the lights of her pod. Her silver antennae are repositionable, and she comes with a removable silver jumpsuit with a glitter-covered belt and sparkling black boots.

In addition to a Nita Light doll, the set also provides purple heart-bedecked headphones, a silver soda, and a Novi Stars "magazine" in an alien language.

Using the Energy Pod

Unlike most other Novi Stars dolls, Nita Light's only points of articulation are her neck and shoulders. The rest of her body is made of clear, solid plastic, limiting her options for play. The energy pod itself offers a pretty display of colorful lights, and the illusion of a floating doll is captivating for a short while. However, between the whirring noise of the motor and the reliance on three AA batteries instead of an AC adapter, the pod can't be used as a nightlight, making possible fun from the energy pod short-lived.
